The Premiere of Ontario at the time was Bob Rae. He penned a little ditty called "Same Boat Now", and submitted it to Sony Music and was laughed at.
Always the opportunist, and in a band with a drummer who was then a TV reporter covering Queen's Park (now he's the Director of Communications for Finance Minister Jim Flaherty), I had the idea to do a power-pop/punk version of the song.
We had a brief media moment over it. I guess you could call it our 15 seconds of fame, and then Landslide broke up.
Now that Bob Rae could conceivably be the next Prime Minister, I thought I'd dig out the old VHS copy of a video Dan made of the song and make it available for posterity.

So a decade+ passes, and this is what happened to all involved:
Drummer Dan Miles is currently the Communications Director for federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty (and we're all still pissed about this income trust thing)
Bassist Pete Dekoker is still in London, ON and still kicks out the jams with a few punk bands down there like 63 Monroe and Osterberg
I've pretty well lost touch with lead guitarist Mark Andersen but I think he's in London too.
Project financier Sieg Pedde is still a capital-L libertarian, and is developing property in Panama
Then premier Bob Rae, depending on when and in which parallel universe you're reading this from is 1) taking a run at the federal liberal leadership 2) an also-ran in the fedeal lib leadership race 3) Canada's newest Prime Minister!
